Moments of Love

I’ll never forget our first kiss in the rain.  The excuse you made just to come back.  How I had no idea it was a scheme, but I was so glad you felt it too.

I’ll never forget the daily letters when we were apart.  Ramblings of “can’t live without you” and “can’t wait to see you”.  Posted with creative return addresses.

I’ll never forget the late night gigs.   Filled with 80’s music, smoke, shlepping equipment and even the occasional paycheck at the end of the night.

I’ll never forget the bee who joined our wedding day.  Who crawled across my shoulders to his swift death by the pastors hand.

I’ll never forget our baptisms in the fountain.  Surrounded by people who helped us change.  I had no idea of the beginning it really was.  Our life is so much better now.

I’ll never forget your compassion and joy at fatherhood.  How deeply you love your children.  How much you support me in parenting them.  This life with you and with them is amazing.
