The phrase “time flies” never has felt so true as when I look at Alexander. Reflection always happens on Birthdays. Remembering how far he’s come from the little orphanage boy. It’s very exciting to see his joy and even embarrassment as we shower him with attention.
Turns out he wasn’t feeling well. Fever of 102! So we had to postpone his party. The hockey cake is in the freezer…
Even so, friends called and came by with birthday wishes and gifts. And he repeatedly suited up with his new hockey gear and took it all off to pack it in the giant bag. He built new Lego creations. He sorted change. And he ate his one of his favorites for dinner–sausage!
