never felt so good!
After quite a stint of crazy activity and emotion, we all sat down to dinner together with calm and glad hearts. Jokes and laughter. Good food and wine. Showers and bedtime at a reasonable hour.
Life is good!

One of the best things about living in the DC Metro area is the museums. The choices for viewing art are, at times, overwhelming. As an added bonus, most are free!
The NEXT exhibit at the Corcoran features up-and-coming art from the art school students. Last week I took a break from the busy spring schedule and went. A fantastic choice indeed.
I have not posted, but have many pix to share… The last What IS it was not that hard…I just liked the image! Laundry hanging on the line in Spring.
This week can you guess?
I guess I have been pretty busy lately. There are a lot of things that spring brings.
Activities… Alexander being chased by Coco while swinging on the “Tarzan swing”…
and creations… chocolate covered coconut eggs!
I planted grass in the “Lake Morey” area of our front yard and the lake proceeded to form. But the grass has taken root anyway!
I have been working on my Simple and Green site at Etsy.com. I am working on getting consistent with my creating. I have tons of ideas–just have to execute them. Stay tuned for that!
We had a family outing to the aquarium. (thanks Grandy and Pop) We got to see some great things we didn’t see last time. Especially the octopus but no photography was allowed.
Despite the kids and dogs in the yard, we have had some spring blooms. I am so cheered by that! Various daffodils, yellow tulips, grape hyacinth, bleeding heart, and camellia blooms. YAY!
We did have an emergency. Kate’s buddy Heather had to get 9 stitched because of this rock that Alexander and his friend Kenny dug up!
Spent the spring break week dog sitting Lily. She’s part of our pack
Now it’s on to the end of the school year frenzy!
Soccer games, dance recitals, and school events.
Last week was a rather silly thing. Washington Caps season ticket holders might have recognized the hockey stick hat, but mostly, it was just for fun.

Last week was indeed a broken wine glass. Turns out it was one on two I smashed when putting them away.
This is Kate’s last year for the elementary school talent show. She did a solo dance to a popular song called Grenade. I helped her choreograph. She was so poised and confident.
James is on his school team as a starting defender. He had the opposing team avoiding his side of the field! He’s a wall!
He loves playing with all his buds from school and from teams past. So fun!
Last week was a shot of the presser foot on my sewing machine. I was doing some edge- finishing on a few napkins, which Kate ended up finishing for me!
This week can you guess?
